You’ve probably already seen this news, but if not: The Department of Veterans Affairs will deploy an RTLS-based management system across their 152 medical centers to assist in the automation and improvement of operations and Veteran healthcare services. Each installation will consist of passive and active RFID and RTLS tags and readers and other technology from various Intelligent InSites partners, including CenTrak and WaveMark, for use in asset management, sterile processing workflow, temperature and humidity monitoring, and catheter lab supply management. All data will be aggregated and managed by Intelligent InSites’ real-time enterprise healthcare software, and Intelligent InSites will provide the unified user interface across the multiple use cases and across VA’s healthcare system.
